Bayer Schering Pharma launches its patient access program for Sorafenib ( Nexavar)

Bayer Schering Pharma launched an access program for liver and kidney cancer patients called NexPAP3+Life. The program aims to help advanced liver and kidney cancer patients optimize the therapeutic benefits of Sorafenib (Nexavar).

With the NexPAP3+Life, the duration of treatment of advanced liver and renal cancer patients could be prolonged as the program will provide qualified patients’ treatment subsidy.

Qualified advance renal and liver cancer patients only need to purchase 6 boxes of Sorafenib (Nexavar) 60’s for the first three months and the rest of the Nexava medication will be free of charge.

Bayer Schering Pharma will initially enlist 60 diagnosed advanced renal and liver cancer patients for year 2010.

Bayer Schering Pharma has partnered with the Cancer Resource and Wellness (Carewell) Community Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides support education, and hope to persons with cancer and their loved ones.

Carewell will be in charge of screening and approving qualified patients to access the NexPAP3+Life program as well as the delivery of the medicines to patients
